Fast and effective way to reach out to POLICE in any kind of distress situation. The current products are not providing effective solutions for the user. The product should be a balance of ergonomics, interaction and service.
The Insights
The crimes against citizens (especially women) are increasing day by day
The reaction time of Police is the very high in almost all countries (especially developing countries)
The sudden reaction (emotional, physical and mental) in any kind of distress situation needs to be analysed
The current methods of getting help are conventional like calling, texting etc. which are time taking
The safety mobile applications fails in different levels of execution
Solution
- Product which can be used daily (Smart watch) is the best option
- Smart watch with single physical press to trigger distress call
- Direct contact with police in no time. No calling / texting / explanation needed
- Extended personal services like fitness tracking, etc to enhance overall product value
Product Design
- As the watch is for Unisex, organic, fluidic design is done in form exploration
- Strong, durable, flexible materials are used
- Neutral color (Black)
- Clean simple UI
Interaction Design
- Android OS
- User presses distress button - message pops up on watch display to cancel sending if the user has pressed it by mistake. After 10 seconds, the message is sent.
- Nearest police watch receives the signal - Police accept the request - Live location navigation gets activated - Police reaches location - action is taken - Police reports action taken on the watch.
